Excerpts

On Loss, Fear, Fate and Time

1.1 On Loss

“I didn’t expect to feel that way,

But I guess that’s what happens,

When taken away,

So unexpectedly,

So far away.”

Premeditatio Malorum – Loss puts the trivialities of day to day life in clear perspective.

1.2 On Loss

“It may be something we can never get back,

But we do move forward, in hope,

That someday we could get something like it back.”

Hope – You will come out better from this.

2. On Fear

“Move in fear,

So dark, not knowing,

Towards the light,

So dim, but glowing.”

Courage – No matter how faint the light is.

3. On Fate

“If that’s to mean,

That you may not yet see,

What’s meant to be will be.”

Amor Fati – Not merely to endure but love.

4. On Time

“Time not be wasted,

Move fast,

But not hasted.”

Memento Mori – You could leave life right now.
